NATIVE HALL. " Press Association —Copyright. Dunedin, last night. A Native hall for religious sorvicos and public meetings was opened at tho ancient Maori settlement of Honley to-day. Tho Union Jack, with the name of the ballon it, was hoisted by Mr T. Parata, M.11.R., who, with Mr Carncross, M.H.R., wore the principal speakers. A largo numbor of visiting Maoris and pakchas were present, and were regaled at dinner on tho oponing of the Maori oven, in which a bullock, foursheep, pigs, etc., were roasted whole, with puddings, etc. DREDGING. Additional dredging returns are : Hartley and Riley, 80oz 17dwt; Electric Extended, 340 z sdwt; Nevis, 40oz sdwt; Chatto Creek, 7oz. This brings tho total for the week to 15730 z from twenty-four dredges.
