CRICKET.
WELLINGTON V. HAWKE’S BAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association). Napior, last night. The Wellington v. Hawke’s Bay intercolonial cricket match commenced on Saturday on the Recreation Ground. There was fine weather, but a moist wicket. The visitors mado 153 in the first innings, Tucker 34 and Upham 52 being the principal scorers. Hawke’s Bay have six wickets down for 126 —Gore 26, Lusk 16, and Wilson (not out) 20. Dent was very destructive with the ball, taking seven of the visitors wickets for 47 runs. Later. —The cricket match, Hawke’s Bay v. Wellington, resulted in a draw in favour of Hawke’s Bay. The game continued until dark, but could not finish in time. The Hawke’s Bay’s first innings closed for 156. Wellington in their second innings realised 134 —■ Richardson 30, Weybournc 18. With 132 to win, Hawke’s Bay had lost eight wickets for 123 when tho stumps were drawn.
