KEROSENE. [By Telegraph—Tress Association.] Dunedin, last night. Thu Gcnarq]. Manager of the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company bps received a message from the manager of the shale works at Oropuki that oil is running from four retorts, and everything is favorable. The output is expected to be 2000 gallons of kerosene per day. Already numerous orders have been received for the Company’s products. DREDGING. At a meeting of-the Queen’s Statue Fund Committee, Sir H. Miller, M.L.C., was appointed chairman. It was decided to approach the Governor and ascertain if it' would be convenient for the Duke of Cornwall to lay the foundation stone of tb'e pedestal for the statue during his visit to Dunediij, Contributions received to date total £900, : including donations qf £IOO each from Mr R. Glendining and the Union Company. THE STRATHGRYFE. At a meeting of the underwriters’ reprepresentatives to consider what steps should be taken in connection with the cargo of |he Strathgryfe, damaged by fire and water, it was decided that the damaged wool, amounting to about 2000 bales, be sold by auction next Thursday, and that the wheat should be sold on the trucks as it arrives in Dunedin.
