WOOL AND WHEAT, WOOL MARKET CLOSES FIRMLY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright London, March 2S. The wool sales closed firm, the closing rates being the highest of the series, Home and Continental buyers operating freely. Compared with the opening sales, best merinos and fine crossbreds were ten per cent higher; medium faulty merinos five per cent higher ; medium coarse cross-. breds unchanged. Lambs’ wool was at par to five per cent lower. The total number of bales sold was, for the Home market, 101,000; Continent, 63,000; America, 4000; while 57,000 were held over. The sales included Kaputone 7 3-Sd, Balruddery 6 8-Bd. Wheat: The American visible supply is estimated at 76,350,000 bushels,
