The citizens propose to organise a grand concert during the Duke of York’s visit, when they will present views of the city, bound with solid gold. The City Council will spend £3OO on tho casket containing the address) Auckland, last night. At a meeting of the Duke of York Reception Committeo, it was decided to ask the City Council to vote £ISOO towards the expenses, and the committeo was authorised to spend £3OOO on the reception, other local bodies also to be asked to contribute.
