Nominations for tho Fcdornl Assombly were received to-day. Mr Barton is tho only candidate returned unopposod. Sir W. Lyno resigned his sent, and rotains the Premiership a few days longer. Complaints aro frequent owing to the surcharge by local Department on New Zealand letters bearing a penny stamp. The Federal Commission has decided to take evidence in camera.
