BOROUGH COUNCIL. Per Press Association. —Copyright. Napier, last night. At the meeting of the Borough Council this evening, tho plague prevention regulations came up for consideration, and it was decided to again offer 3d per head for rats. It was stated that £2B was paid last year in this way, but that the town was at present very freo from vermin of this description, very few being found in the sewers or drains. Plans of the proposed abattoirs had been referred back to Mr Hislop, of Dunedin, for slight modification, but the work of building the abattoirs would be proceeded with shortly.
