The Royal Visitors.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Tr London, March 15. Tho King and Queen and tho Duke and Duchess of York proceed to Portsmouth this afternoon. They sleep aboard the Royal yachts Victoria and Albert, in readiness for embarking in the Ophir to-morrow, SUGGESTION AS TO DECORATIONS. [by telegraph—press association.] . Wellington, last night. The Premier has made a suggestion that as it would be impossible for tho Duke aud Duchess of Cornwall to visit the inland districts, these shouldjbc represented by tho construction of arches in large centres, say, for instance, in Wellington an arch should be erected representing Hawke’s Bay, and one cach for Wairarapa, Manawatu, Taranaki, and Wanganui. Tho idea is that the various local bodies and leading and influential citizens should combine, and each body would have a representative arch erected. The cost would then bo scarcely felt, whilst it would add to the success of tho reception, and be the means of advertising the products and manufactures of tho various districts.
