THE IMPERIAL TROOPS.
LEAVE SYDNEY TO-DAY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, March 15. The first portion of the Imperial draft of the Contingent, numbering about a thousand officers and men, together with a thousand horses, marched tlirough the streets, and boarded the troop-ships Custodian and Maplemoro.
Owing to the incessant rain since last night, there was very little demonstration in the streets.
The troops sail for tho Capo to-morrow.
