Entries for the boys’ handicap and hospital fund race at St. Patrick’s sports have been extended until Tuesday next, 12th inst., at 4 p.m. The final round of the men’s singles for the Lawn Tennis Championship of the Counties of Cook, Waiapu, and Wairoa, will be played on the Tennis Club’s courts on Kaiti on Saturday afternoon, when Mr W. J. Barlow meets Mr A. W. Bees. The match should be very exciting, and a very good exhibition of the game should be witnessed. Mr Barlow was one of the best tennis players in Christchurch, but he should find a hard nut to crack in Mr Rees, who holds a good record at the game.
