Seventh Contingent.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The strength of the Seventh Contingent is to be increased to five hundred men. A n additional quota from each district will be proportionate to the first selection. Applicants will be selected from those already enrolled, but, of course, must stand the usual tests. It has not been decided when the Contingent leave, but it will not he within a fortnight. Captaincies in,the Seventh Contingent have been allotted to G. R. Johnston (Waverloy), formerly lieutenant in the First Contingent; and J. H. Hamer (Christchurch), an. old army man, with a South African records Sergeant Lestrange, formerly of the First Contingent, has been promoted to lieutenant,
