THE SEVENTH CONTINGENT.

By Telegraph—Per Press Association. Christchurch, last night. Harold Dickenson, of the First Contingent, and Harold Arison, of the First and Federal Contingents, both of Christchurch, have received commissions in the Seventh Contingent. THE INDIAN TROOPS.

Great crowds assembled both at Lyttelton and Christchurch- this morning to witness the parades of the Indian troops, and the men were heartily cheered during their "inarch through the streets. The polo match between the Indian officers and the Christchurch Club was played this afternoon, and was won by Christy church by three goals to nil. The Dafliousie, with tho troops, left for Wellington this evening.
