A FIRE.

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wanganui, last night. A fire broke out at 3.30 this afternoon in the main part of the avenue of buildings owned by J• Salek, and occupied by E. D. Smith, draper. The building was completely gutted, but the brigade prevented the fire spreading. The building was insured in the Guardian for £3OO. The stock was insured in the Guardian for £llOO, and in the National for £3OO. The furniture was insured in the Guardian for £IOO. LICENSING CASE.

At the Supreme Court on Saturday an appeal by Poole, licenseo of the Aramolio Hotel against Judgo Kettle’s decision, was heard. Decision was reserved.
