It seems that the school has not been making satisfactory progress for some time, and with a view to remedying this state of things, if possible, the head mistress has boon teaching the lower standdards, while the pupil teacher lias been teaching tho upper standards ! A state of topsy-turveydom worthy of one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operas.
picnic. The • annual picnic and free distribution of gifts in connection with this school took place on Friday, and would have been a great success had it not been for the weather, which was showery and unpleasant.
