The Arnold Company.

Thebe was a crowded house on Saturday night to witness the popular play “ What Happened to Jones.” And a i;eal merry night tliorc was of it. Mr Arnold, or the amiable “Jones,” who got into and then got out of so many scrapes, was as great a favorite as ever. Everyone liked the play itself, and everyone liked the clever , acting. It was not merely Mr Arnold’s part that was excellent; the members of the. company all did splendidly; and though the audienco were not quick in perceiving some of the witticisms with which the play abounds, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and' old . friends became more than ever enraptured with Mr Arnold as an actor, while those who had seen him for the first time became warm admirers of his acting, and of the acting of the clever company supporting him. ° The other parts so well taken were cast as follows Ebenezer Goodly, F.
