The work proposed to be undertaken is about One Mile of Metalling on the Waimata Hill road, being a continuation of the presen, metalled parts of the road. The amount to be borrowed is £203. The annual charge will be £7. The Government having granted a sum of £2OO for metalling the Waimata road upon condition that the Council raised a like sum, the above proposal is submitted to the ratepayers upon that condition. A meeting of the ratepayers within the Special District will be held in- the Public Hall, Waimata, on FRIDAY, oth February, 1901, at 2 o’clock p.m., to consider this proposal.
