The Grace Harwar.
Several reports were received in town yesterday of the supposed sighting of the ship Grace Harwar, but still the vessel cometh not. She is now considerably overdue, being twenty-seven days out from Otago Heads, and arave fears are entertained for her safety. The captain of the Talune, which arrives from Auckland this afternoon, has been requested to keep a sharp look-out along the coast for the vessel, and if there is any foundation for the several rumors regarding the boat having been seen during the last few days, something definite should be heard to-day. The Harbormaster has been keeping a sharp look-out from the flagstaff and along the foreshore of both beaches, but could see no sign of the missing vessel. The Grace Harwar comes from Algoa Bay, haviag simply called at Cape Saunders for orders. She is a fine steel vessel of over 1800 tons, and under charter to the New Zealand " Shipping Company, whose local agents, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, will ship something like 8000 bales of wool at this port. Her non-arrival has caused a block at the Company’s stores, and extra accommodation * has had to be obtained. Lloyd's Register gives the following particulars of the missing vessel:—Steel ship 1807 tons, 100 Al, built 1889, owned by W. Montgomery, length’ 266-7, beam 39-1, depth 23-5, port of register London, flag British, 1 deck, 8 tiers of beams without deck*
