Already there are six deserters from the Imperial forces, and it is openly stated that the" men have been allured by offers of employment. The troops embark to-morrow. Sailed-Mimoro, for Auckland and the Moana also left last night. The latter has the rifle team and a large contingent of Com monwealth visitors. BrisbaDG, Jan. 13. _ There has been a great rainfall in the far North. At Mackay 61 inches fell, and at Marina 16 A inches fell m 21 hours.
