“THAT’S THE STUFF: MAKE THEM WORK”

(Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 22 Extended hours of sitting in the House of Representatives from next Wednesday onwards were indicated in the House today when the Prime Minister. Mr. S. G. Holland, gave notice of his intention to move that the House should sit from 2.30 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week.

Also he will move that Government business take precedence after next Tuesday night when the Budget debate will finish.

Upon this announcement, the Minister of Labour, Mr. W. Sullivan, remarked sotto voice: “That's the stuff. Make them work.”
