BIRTHDAY PARTY

On September 17 Mrs. A. Clarke held a children’s party at her home at Motuhora in honour of the seventh birthday of her daughter, Jennifer.
There were 28 children present and owing to the inclement weather indoor games were played. A birthday tea was served, the table being gay with coloured cellophane, popcorn posies and the iced birthday cake with its seven candles. Personal. Mr. F. L. Fisher, Motu, was a visitor to Auckland for the re-union of the First World War Engineers, Second Battalion. —Mr. G. Brown, Motu, is an inmate of the Cook Hospital, Gisborne. —Mr. and Mrs. S. Redpath, Wairata, were week-end visitors to the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Fisher, Motu.
