SMALL CATTLE ENTRY

One of the smallest yardings of cattle for a second sale fixture in the spring season came forward this week at the cattle fair conducted at the Matawhcro yards. The position had been anticipated, following a record yarding for the first fair in August. The entry this week was one of 1131 male cattle and 990 females, a total of 2121 head. At the equivalent fair last season the entry was disposed of in one day. 2109 head being offered. Even in the flood year of 1948 there were 2918 cattle in the second fair.
