WAIKATO RACING ON LOCAL ELECTION DAY

HAMILTON, Sept. 23.

The Waikato Racing Club's meeting should not seriously interfere with the local body elections to lie held on the same day. Saturday. November 18. This was said in a statement issued by the club yesterday.

It was pointed out that the programme would not commence until noon, and that the time between races would be shortened. The meeting would be over soon after the usual time. There would be ample time for people to record their votes before or after the meeting. All the arrangements in connection with the meeting had been made, and it could not be postponed at ibis juncture, the statement concluded.
