Arrivals.—Wainui, 11.50 a.m. Wednesday, from Timaru; Koau, 4.25 a.m. Thursday, from Napier. Departures.—Kopara, 11.10 a.m. Wednesday. for Napier. The Koau arrived this morning and sails this afternoon for Napier. The Margaret W left Auckland last night for Toko.naru Bay and Gisborne. She is due here on Saturday and sails later for Auck-| land direct.
The liner. Monowai has been withdrawn from the Tasman Sea service to undergo tha first major post-war survey and overhaul. The Monowai took up her present running in January, 1940, after a refit from an armed cruiser at a cost’ of £1,000.000.
