N.Z. Harbour Engineer’s Post In Portland
(10 a.m.) MELBOURNE. Sept. 7. Mr. E. P. C. Hughes, of Wellington, New Zealand,, was yesterday appointed chief engineer of the Newport Harbour Trust, which has been set up to develop Portland as an all-weather port. Mr. Hughes, who is 46, will receive a salary of £IBSO a year.
