VILLAGERS ROUT RED BANDITS

(11 a.m.) SINGAPORE, Sept. 6. When 20 armed Chinese terrorists attacked the small Malay village of Grik, in Perak, Northern Malaya, last night the villagers counter-attacked ■with knives and sickles. Three terrorists were killed and the remainder fled into the jungle. One Malay was killed and three wounded. The terrorists burned part of a rubber factory in Selangor last night and killed a Tamil Indian.

Security forces fought a series of jungle skirmishes with the terrorists in Pahan and Kelantan today. A train was derailed in Pahang when terrorists dynamited the track.
