WELLINGTON, Dept. 6. “It is generally desirable for a taxicab service to be provided which will adequately meet the reasonable needs of the public and upon the evidence I am bound to hold that such a jervice has not in the past been given in Wellington.” salcl Judge Archer, the Transport Appeal Authority, in a judgment today concerning the granting of additional taxi licenses In Wellington, Taxi proprietors in Wellington appealed to the authority against the Frrantlng of 34 additional licenses for the Wellington metropolitan area. Today’s judgment dismissed the appeal and granted two further licenses, making the total of new licenses ,36.
