INFANTRYMEN MEET AGAIN: 25TH BN.
Gisborne members of the 25th (N.Z.)’ Infantry Battalion met in reunion at the Abercorn Hall on Saturday evening at a function arranged by the Gisborne' branch of the association. It was two years since the last reunion. The chairman, Mr. H. Hickling, asljed that members assist in the compilation of a complete roll of members residing between Wairoa and the East Cape. It was only by having names and addresses that personal contact could be achieved. '
Mr. C. G. Lucas, Dominion president of the association, gave a summary oi the affairs of the organisation. He said the next national reunion would be in Wellington next year, and asked that a strong party should travel from. Gisborne, which boasted one of the strongest branches, excluding Wellington.
The following toast list was honoured:—Loyal toast. Mr. Hickling: "Absent Comrades,” Padre J. G. B. Talbot: bugler, Mr. J. White: “The Battalion.” Mr. Hickling. responded to by Mr. Lucas: “Kindred Units.” Mr. D. F. Muir, responded to by Mr. J. M. D. McCredie.
