Workless Golfer Beats Millionaire’s Son For U.S. Title

(10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 27. Sam Urzetta, the unemployed son of an Italian-born . anitor, defeated Frank Stranahan, the son of a millionaire, one up for the national amateur golf championship at Minneapolis today. It was the longest final in the 50-year history of the event. The marathon ended on the 39th green when Stranahan, who is the British amateur champion, missed n Bft. putt which w’ould have given him a half and kept the match going.
