SOUTH IS. NOMINEES IN DRAMA FESTIVAL
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Aug. 22. An elimination festival of one-act plays was held at Balclutha last night to select two productions to represent the South Island in the New Zealand contest at Christchurch on September 2.
The plays chosen were “Petticoats Preferred,” by T, B. Morris, presented by the Twentieth Century Drama Club, South Canterbury, and r ‘X Equals O,” by John Drinkwater, presented by the Repertory Green Room Club, Dunedin.
