WHARF PRIORITY FOR SUPPLY SHIP
(11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 2. The Stevedoring Industry Board will give the liner Taiping priority for waterside labour today, enabling her to sail promptly with 700 tons of stores for the Australian forces in the Far East.
She has been delayed two days because of the low priority allotted her and the current shortage of labour. Eleven ships were idle yesterday because no gangs could be obtained. Disputes affecting seamen are holding up two coastal traders loaded with supplies for flooded north coast towns.
