(P.A.) WELLINGTON, auly 26. Whether members of the Waterfront Industry Commission should be called before the Waterfront Industry Authority to explain their reasons for reaching a decision was discussed at a sitting of the authority today to consider conditions under which lampblack should be worked

The employers’ representative. Captain M. T. Holm, sought the appearance of the chairman, Mr. A. E. Bockctt, and members of the commission in the witness-box to explain why they decided to vary the book rate o’f extra payment for handling lampblack, but the chairman of the authority, Judge Dalglish, ruled this wrong in principle. The hearing was adjourned until Tuesday to give the employers lime to consider whether they will appeal against Judge Dalglish's decision.
