MINING UNION LEADERS CONFER ON WAIKATO STRIKE

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 26. Members of the national council of the. Miners’ Union met the executive of the Northern Miners’ Union at Huffily last night to discuss the Waikato mines’ strike. After more than two hours the meeting was adjourned until this morning. Mr. A. Prcndivillo. national president of the union, presided at the meeting. About 1500 miners have been idle since July 13 when they struck for the reinstatement of a trucker who was dismissed at the Pukcmiro mine on July 11.
