HUGE FOREST FIRES IN YUKON

JUNEAU (Alaska), July 24. Huge, uncontrollable forest fires are raging unchecked in the northern Yukon, and Alaskan forestry officials say that the fires menace Fort Yukon and only rain can halt them. The fires have spread over 1.000.000 acres and have swept to within 25 miles of Fort Yukon.
