(Special) WAIROA, June 26. Saturday’s chief Rugby attraction was the Athletic v. Celtic junior fixture during which some fine movements were witnessed, particularly in the backs. Athletic won by 12 points to three. Results: Senior.—Mahia 8 v. Tapuae 0; Athletic 25 v. Kiwi 11.

Junior—Athletic 12 v. Celtic 3; Tapuae 10 v, Mahia 0.

In a special game Wairoa High School (II) defeated Gisborne High School (IV) by nine points to three.
