NEW PHOTO FILM TO FUNCTION IN ARCTIC OR TROPICAL ZONES
A photographic film that will function in both extreme Arctic cold and tropical heat has been developed by scientists at the Armour Research Foundation in the United States. It can be used in temperatures ranging from 65 degrees below zero to 140 degrees above zero, Fahrenheit. It required two years of research to find a satisfactory substance for such a film that also would be easily available and reasonably inexpensive. The compounnd chosen after exhaustive tests is a eeilulo.se derivative called n-propyl cellulose.
