BASKETBALL

Outstanding play in several teams, and close contests in most games were features of Saturday’s basketball on the P.B. Basketball Association’s courts.

The match of the dav was between H.S.O.G. A 1 and St. Mary’s A, both sides fighting for every point. Old Girls started well with several goals by H Nikora. but St. Mary's centres soon got into their stride and kept the ball among their forwards. In the latter section. J. Boggs scored with some excellent shots from the edge of the goal circle. In the centre third E. and P. Aylward and B. Warcham were outstanding.
