BOY SEEKS £17,000 FROM ENTICER

NEW YORK. A boy of 14 asked the United States Court of Appeals to award him £17,000 damages against a woman who, he said, had enticed his father away from home. The boy is James Edler. His father is a lieut.-colonel in the United States Army, who once headed the American counter-intelligence service m Paris. James filed the suit against Miss Nora MacAlpine-Downie for “wrongfully. enticing my father from his home and inducing him to desert me and my mother.” He sought damages for being deprived of family life. The judge ruled that an action of this sort by a minor could not be maintained except by new legislation.
