LONDON. March 31. Estimates for the Food Ministry for the coming year total about £402,000.000 —a decrease of £21,000,000 on this year’s figure. The chief decrease is in trading services. The Ministry expects to spend £1.728.000.000 on the purchase, freight and storage of food. Simultaneously with the drop in the estimates, the Ministry is pruning its staffs, from which 900 have recently ieft.
