The totalisator handled £71,814, which included £3625 on the double, compared with £57,575 on the second day last autumn, making a total for the •nec-ting of £131,320 10s, compared with £103,103. The winning double, Foxfable and Silver Blue, paid £62/15/6 for 10/-. Law Court fell in the Ruatangata Stakes and the rider, Gillies, was taken to hospital for observation.
