No Fear of War.
Thoughts of a vast atomic war amounted to a “Wellsian, fantastic dream,” said General Albert Orsborn. world leader of the Salvation Army, when interviewed in Napier. “There are enough good people in the world to save it from destruction,” he commented. "In Europe and in England one rices not find any apprehension or fear as to a possible outbreak of war,” he said. “There is more vocal expression in the United States, especially since President Truman sanctioned experiments with the hydrogen bomb, but I do not think approval of the experiments is a sign of impending war."
