TITIRANGI TENNIS CLUB SEASON TO CONCLUDE TOMORROW

Tomorrow will be virtually the closing day of the season for the Titirnngi Tennis Club. It is hoped that the club championships, delayed through the holding of other fixtures in the club’s court:;, will be concluded then. All players, senior and junior, should, be present, as these absent will be liable to be omitted.

On Sunday a (cam from Manutukc will visit the Titirangi club to play a challenge match for the Tamarangi Cup. The matches will commence at 10 a.m. The following team been selected to represent Titirangi. Men: P. Kaua, H. K. Ngata, P. Smiler, M. Tawhiri. T. Smiler, J. Potaka. Women: Mesdames R. L. Ngata, O. Baker, T. Rangi. R. Harvey, Misses E. Ferris and H. Rangi. At Easter the New Zealand Maori lawn tennis championships will be played in Gisborne, on the courts of the Titirangi and Gisborne clubs. A large number of entries from all parts of the country are expected, and a high standard of play is anticipated.
