POLAND TO SEND MORE FOOD TO BRITAIN

LONDON, March 17.

Poland will send more bacon and eggs to Britain in 1950 under the current five-year trade pact and her food exports to this country may reach a total value of £16,000,000 for the year. The Board of Trade made an announcement to this effect today. The Secretary for Overseas Trade, Mr. Arthur Bottomley, said today that the talks in London between the British and Polish trade delegations had now been concluded.

The talks were held to review the course of trade between the two countries with the first year of the fiveyear pact signed in Warsaw in January 1949 and to agree to arrangements for 1950 within the framework of the pact.
