(11 a.m.) NEW DELHI. Jan. 16, The well-known Indian cricketer. Prince Duleepsinhji, is likely to be apDointed as India’s High Commissioner in Australia. He joined the External Affairs Ministry 10 months ago as an officer on special duty.

Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji. one of India’s greatest cricketers, was born in 1905 and educated at Cheltenham School England, and Cambridge University. He is the nephew of the late Ranjitsinhji, who will long be remembered by cricketers as “Ranji.”

Prince Duleepsinhji was a member of the English team against South Africa in 1929 and' against Australia in 1930. A year later he was made captain of Sussex, but at the end of the 1932 season illness forced him to resign.
