Mr. Holland's Hopes Of Financial Review Next Month

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 16. “I see no reason for employing outside assistance in a task for whish we have the necessary personnel already in New Zealand,’’ said the Prime Minister, Mr. S. G. Holland, in commenting on the suggestion by the president of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, Mr. H. S. Williams, that the former Governor of the Reserve Bank, Mr. Lefeaux, should be asked to undertake an inquiry into New Zealand finances.

Mr. Holland said he quite appreciated and supported the view that there should be a thorough investigation of the national finances. The new Government had already embarked upon that investigation and he hoped to be in a position to make a general review within the next month.
