PIG HOUSE SET UP AT WAIROA SHOW

(Special) WAIROA, Jan. 16. Rcinforced-concrete building blocks made by a Gisborne flrm were used in the construction of a pig house constructed by Mi*. 11. Donaldson, Tairawhiti District Pig Council supervisor, on the showgrounds at Wairoa. Dairy-supplier patrons of the Jubilee Show were particularly interested in the house, details of the cost being given on a suitable placard. The design was one that could be erected by two men in four deys between milkings, the total cost of materials being £37 2s 4d. Detailed costings were:—Blocks. £l3 16s lOd; Fibrolite, £6 15s; 10ft. glazed tile trough, £3 3s 6d: 1-ton cement, £7 10s: Jcwt. steel, £1 7s; three cubic yards shingle, one cubic yard sand and timber, £4 10s.
