(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Nov. 30. An instance of the rise in the value of silver over recent years was given by Mr. S. S. Dean at a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Olympic and British Empire Games, Mr. Dean said that the recent revaluation in Sydney of the Bledisloe Cup, emblem of Rugby Supremacy between Australia and New Zealand, had shown the cup to be worth £SOO, compared with the original cost of about £l5O- - matter of values was raised when the question was discussed of lending the Lonsdale Cup to the Auckland committee for the Games. It was stated that the cup, now worth £25. was one of 11 miniatures presented some years ago to competing nations in British Empire Games festivals.
