Australian Entry For London-N.Z. Air Race

(10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dee. 1. Qantas Empire Airways announced last night that Qantas intended to enter one of their planes in the forthcoming air race from London to Christchurch. The Armstrong Whitworth Company said they would provisionally enter their four-engined jet airliner Apollo. Other companies had not yet stated the types of planes to bo entered. With the exception of the De Havilland Company, all th.e nominations were provisional until the rules, regulations and handicaps were announced.
