DEATH OF DAME IRENE VANBRUGH

(10 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30 The death is announced of the noted stage actress Dame Irene Vanbrugh. She would have been 77 on Friday. Dame Irene Vanbrugh created several of Pinero’s most famous characters notably Sophie Fullgarney in .the Gay Lord Quex” and Nina ill “His House in Order.” After touring the United States in 1923, she reappeared with success in 1926 in “All the King s Hoisos. Dame Irene Vanbrugh who in pnvate life was Mrs. Dion Boucicault, lost nci husband in 1926.
