OLD VIC COMPANY’S £40,000 PROFITS ON DOMINIONS’ TOUR

LONDON, Nov. 29. The Old Vic Company earned a net surplus of £40,000 in its tour of Australia and New Zealand, the British Council announced today. The company led by Sir Laurence Oliver and Vivien Leigh, had _ given 179 performances to more than 300,000 people and the tour had been an “outstanding success” aesthetically and financially” said the council’s report.
