Beer Shampoo for Women.

Gallons of beer were poured over the heads of women passengers on the recent maiden voyage to Australia of the liner Himalaya. Since he introduced beer shampoos in the ship’s beauty salon, the ship's hairdresser said he had had to work 14 hours a day to keep up with the demand. “I wash the hair and then pour a bottle of ale over it,” he said. “We have to keep a large supply of beer in the salon. The beer rinse helps women passengers’ hair to stay in place more easily, especially in salt air, and it does not smell.”
